I was testing qmail smtps and came across a problem – it would refuse to send mail with stunnel. After hours of thorough testing, I found the problem. We need to pass relay-ctrl-check with option -l instead of qmail-smtpd. So, if you’ve set up smtps with my guide, make sure you update the runmail executable with the one on my Qmail guide page.
