Uma and Maz: Children Portraits

Uma and Maz are a sister and a brother. I am delighted to have the chance to photograph such adorable children. I know that their mother is fantabulous! So, no wonder we had so much fun with Uma and Maz. I hope that I will see them soon enough to get more pictures done. We had a good time blowing bubbles, throwing leaves, jumping, laughing and running. I love their energy and their willingness to pose in front of the camera. I love, love, love, Uma and Maz!!!

Here Uma is in process of demonstrating her bubble blowing skills to her brother Maz.

Random thoughts and shots

As much as autumn is a beautiful season I discovered that I do not like it as much as other seasons. For some reason this gloominess undoubtedly tries to become a part of my mood. If not for my family and photography, which always brings extra energy, I think I would probably go bonkers. Here are some random shots that my husband and I took recently. Some of them are from the photo walk we did couple of weeks back. Some were taken during summer, and some are just nice coincidences. There is nothing like seeing a warm, smiling face when you are in one of those autumn-y weather! Except the first couple of shots… My son was so upset, even going to his favorite Thai place didn’t help much :)

My vision of Snowmass, Aspen and Crested Butte

Recently my husband posted some pictures from our trip to Crested Butte. I decided to follow his footsteps and document my perspective of a couple of days that we spent on the road.

Jack: Portraits

We photographed Jack a little more than a week ago. His mother wanted to get a picture of him before he gets his black belt early next year.

Group Portrait: Rocky Mountain Rollergirls

Like I’ve said before, we having been shooting all kinds of events lately. This group shot was for the Rocky Mountain Rollergirls. Although we completely failed the photo shoot by leaving flashes at home (we were too tired form the previous day wedding and I messed up with packing the equipment), this image came out all right. We used ambient light coming in from the gate as the main front light and there was some back light coming from two windows of the warehouse. It was disappointing to work in such conditions and our motivation went down the drain, but we had to work with what we had and they desperately needed pictures…

Malika: Portrait

When I first met Malika, she was only 4 months old. Omar was only a couple of weeks old when Malika and her dad came over to see him. It was love from the first sight! Yes, I fell in love with this little bundle of big joy. She had the biggest brown eyes one could imagine. Her curly blond hair and joyful laugh made me want to get pregnant all over again just to have a little girl :D Well, it all happened, but I ended up with another boy, LOL! Every time I see Malika, I still ask my husband if we should give it another try. As much as he adores baby girls, he thinks we’ve had enough, at least for now!

Malika is smart, happy, bubbly, energetic and super fantastic to work with. I could take her pictures for hours and have fun at the same time! Even her name is very majestic. Malika means “Queen” in Uzbek language.

We had a very hard time choosing photographs for this entry and these are the ones we chose for now.
