St. Augustine – Old Car

While walking the main streets of St. Augustine after visiting the Alligator Farm, I came across this old car parked on the street:

Florida Birding #10

Shot with Nikon D3s and Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G lens. No post-processing on the image, straight out of camera.

    That 24-70mm f2.8 is stunningly sharp…..

Pasquier, yes it is! Love the 24-70mm! Now I need to write a review on it, since I have been using it ever since it came out :)

I really like the lines, and the car “leaving” the frame. However, I would alter the vertical perspective on the image to align the vertical building lines with the frame…this would enhance the building lines, but possibly at the expense of the shadows across the top.

Brault, thank you so much for your critique and feedback! I also did not like the line on the left, but did not know how to get it fixed without heavy Photoshop editing – that plant on the left makes it difficult to correct the image. I tried rotating the image, but the whole thing gets rotated and distortion filters are not helping either. Another thing I do not like, is the fact that the door is as dark as the car and kind of “blends in” :(

I will try to work on it tomorrow and see what I can get.

      Have a wonderful week!

I love the tips I’m learning on photography from your site. I wasn’t paying much attention to the “line”…I was busy admiring the car :)

Thank you Alisa! It is certainly a great learning experience for myself too, thanks to readers like Brault :)
