Egg Noodle Chicken Soup Recipe

I first tried the Egg Noodle Chicken Soup when our friend Olga and Nikolai made it as a first course during a luscious dinner. I simply loved it! It was like a love potion mixed into the soup. To spread the love, I asked Olga to give me the recipe. She kindly posted it on her new food blog and I shamelessly stole the recipe :P

Baked Pears With Blue Cheese

We often have guests at our house. I love gathering friends, having a nice dinner with them, playing games, talking and enjoying the evening. I try not to make the same food every time we invite someone over. So, I look for new recipes, work on substitutions or just come up with my own combination for a new dish. When I first made Baked Pears with Blue cheese, my husband fell in love with it right away! Now he keeps on bringing more pears and blue cheese to have enough of this delicious entree at his immediate disposal.

Meat Pie

I got this super-duper meat pie recipe from my sister-in-law(my brother's wife), who inherited it from her mother. Ultimately, it was brought to my attention by my sister Kamola. We love this meat pie so much that it finds its way to our stomachs quite often. The crust is just to die for. With a perfect crispness, it melts in your mouth, leaving you craving for more! I have been planning to document it for a while now. In fact, I thought that I had already posted it a while ago and I was surprised to find out that I never did... Well, anyway, here it is ladies and gentlemen!

Banana Cake

Here is the deal. We buy bananas because at times our children eat a lot of them. But next time we buy them almost all of them end up in the trash! If you find yourself in a similar situation, your best bet is to bake something with bananas in order to avoid the shameful waste. Ultimately, this banana cake will come in handy. Unlike famous banana breads out there, this banana cake is moist due to the usage of less flour and addition of yogurt. What could be more pleasant than not wasting perfectly fine bananas and enjoying an amazing dessert?

Cauliflower Soup Recipe

Today's recipe is dedicated to this fine vegetable called Cauliflower. To be precise, it is dedicated to a Cauliflower Soup. Need I say how healthy this creamy-looking vegetable is? OK, you talked me into it! Cauliflower is full of dietary fiber, rich in vitamin C and a perfect fighting remedy against multiple types of cancer. That is if you choose to cut it in pieces and eat it raw. I am not sure if it keeps the cancer fighting benefits once cooked.  It is also very low in carbohydrates and a perfect substitute for potatoes in many meals. If you like broccoli, you'd better like cauliflower :) They are the same type of "animal" except for the color.

Stawberry-Apple Galette Recipe

Honestly, I love, love, love this Strawberry-Apple Galette! If you do not love it back, I do not want you in my blog for three days! Yes, you will be punished for not sharing the awesomeness... I am just kidding. But seriously, try it out, you will not regret it!

Unlike the Eggplant Casserole night (and fortunately for me), I stayed away from mischief in my kitchen this time. Except I had to bake the Galette at 11PM. That's when my two punks went to bed, leaving my kitchen all in my own discretion.

I had leftover apples from the fall season and I also had some pretty nasty-tasting strawberries in the refrigerator. No, not from the fall season :) So, why on earth were they nasty? Well, my husband bought the strawberries for the boys. They really like their fruits at times, but not the ones that are off-season and tasteless. You should have known better, daddy :) He politely asked me to use these "wanna be" strawberries in one of my pies. I did not want to waste the berries, so I accepted the challenge and here is the result:

Eggplant Casserole Recipe

Do you like eggplant? Do you like tomatoes? Than this Eggplant Casserole is for you! OK, that sounded like a cheap soap commercial. Please do not think that way :) This a perfectly delicious recipe for those who enjoy the combo of vegetables with meat. How did I find this recipe? Tabouleh Recipe

The original Tabouleh recipe originates in Levantine cuisine, which includes traditions of many Middle-Eastern countries. Personally, it is one of my favorite salads. Very healthy, easy and tasty. What else do you need from a salad? :) Tabouleh goes well with kebabs, grilled dishes and goes exceptionally well with Eggplant Casserole. If you haven't tried it, it is time for you to consider making this fantastic salad for your family!

Chicken Teriyaki Recipe

If you love Chicken Teriyaki, this recipe will not leave you indifferent. I was not much of a Teriyaki person for a long time myself, but I had to reconsider my preferences once Omar started liking it. Being a cook-from-scratch lady, I looked for the perfectly tender, delicious Chicken Teriyaki recipe for almost 2 years. After many trials and errors, mixing multiple recipes, the perfect Teriyaki Chicken was born!

Lagman Recipe

Lagman (similar to Lo-mein) falls right under the category of perfect, hand-made noodles that will please any child or adult with their softness and flavor. The broth of Lagman is rich, tasty and healthy. It is a Central-Asian dish, with the roots connecting to Chinese and Koren kitchens. There are multiple variations of this dish. I decided to start with the most simple one and gradually introduce you to more complicated ones. You just have to try it out! It might look a little complicated at first. But once you get used to the process, it will become a breeze, I promise! :)
