I have not posted anything for a week now and I wanted to give a quick update on what’s going on. As I have mentioned in one of my comments before, I’m trying to spend some time with my family, specifically with my mother, my sister and her family, whom I have not seen for eight long years.
On top of that, I have been busy traveling and I’m currently writing from Orlando, where I’m attending a large annual technology conference. My schedule has been hectic ever since I arrived here, although I did have an hour today to visit my favorite Merritt Island for some birding. I got there at sunset, so I was only able to capture a few photos of the Roseate Spoonbill when it was active.
I took my Nikon D3s, along with the Nikon 300mm f/4.0 + 1.4x TC and the Nikon 24-70mm, so I’m traveling relatively light. Looks like it will be cloudy until I leave, so I will have to trust the low light capabilities of the D3s. Hoping to get up early tomorrow morning for some local birding. I will post some pics once I get back to Denver.
I have received lots of comments and e-mails from our readers and have not had a chance to respond. I apologize for this and I promise that I will as soon as I can.

Hi Nasim, have a safe trip!
Impressed at what a passionate birder you are!
