Picnic by the creek

We had a great picnic with our friends over the weekend. Although we had a hard time finding a spot at Eldorado Canyon (the park was full), things went pretty smooth after we helped each other by holding parking spots. We settled down by the creek and it was a blast! The weather was just perfect. Our kids had a lot of fun, especially Omar.

Osman stayed by my side at all times. He is a character, I'll tell ya. He does not like when anyone he doesn't know looks at him. He starts to lower his gaze and frantically closes his eyes, from time to time checking if anyone is actually looking at him. That, in fact, made him sit tight in one place rather than crawl around, which worked out for us, as well.

Oh, and have I mentioned that Omar has a thing for blond little girls? :) He had to put aside his love of throwing rocks into the creek to share his spot with this beautiful little blondy. My husband tried to capture the moment of him picking up rocks for her but they were so busy (and there was so much going on in the background) we decided not to bother them. Well, no offense to blond girls (my sister is blond, too) the little beauty played little Omar and left him by the creek without saying a word. Omar followed her to their picnic area but was returned by his father shortly after, who convinced him that the idea of bowling is much more interesting. There ended his 3 minute love story :D

I also talked our brother Karim and his girlfriend Roxana into posing for us. They are an awesomely photogenic couple!!! I will post their shots later tomorrow.
