I was not going to post this one, but I thought that the deal was too good to ignore, so here it is. Newegg.com, the company I have been using for over 10 years to purchase my computer gear has a 4th of July sale on the Nikon D90 kit with the Nikon 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens for only $989.99, which is an unbelievable price, given that the body-only price is $999 and the kit is being sold at B&H for $1,199 right now. Here is how you can get the deal:

1. Click here to get to the Nikon D90 + 18-105mm VR lens page on Newegg.com. The combo will be listed at $1,149.99.
2. Click the “Add to Cart” button and after you are done shopping, go to your shopping cart.
3. On the bottom of the page where it says “Apply Promo Codes”, type “EMCYTNX28” and click “Apply”.
4. You will be redirected to a login page. If you have never registered with Newegg.com before, do it on the bottom form that says “New Customer Sign-Up”. You only need to provide your email address and a password.
5. Once you do that, you will be taken back to your cart where you will see the $160 discount applied. The message will say “A code you entered is exclusive to newsletter subscribers. By checking this box you consent to receive additional deals and promotions through our free e-mail newsletter.” Basically, I received this deal over email and you can also sign up for this discount by subscribing to their newsletter. I hope I won’t get in trouble for doing this :)
