Its iPhone 3GS shot) Well quality says for pic. Other cameras could shoot more clear. Give away might be with purchase of new iPhone4)) iPad u had before )))

  2. 2
    ) Avi

Since you shoot with Nikon, I’m gonna say it was shot with a Nikon DSLR. Seems too easy though 8-)

  3. 3
    ) Tom

I think it is lower resolution, the edge of the mountains/sky seems sharp and the rock in the mountain face seems like lower resolution as does the floor of the lake in the foreground. But I could be way off!!!

    Voted for iPhone.

  4. IPhone
    specially at this size ;)

  5. 5
    ) NanOnaN

I think It is iphone. As u shoot with nikon dslr, “nikon” option seems too easy:). Plus colors of the pics also seems not as rich as in dslr.

  6. I vote the iPhone. There is no reason why, in good light, an iPhone couldn’t have taken this shot, and it’s more fun than if you used the D3 . . .

    ) robert

i think it was an iphone :)

    ) Marat Yeshtukov

Well, is seems to be an iPhone, otherwise it’s D700 that you used for some other photos of the place.

    ) WebMonster

I know you are not Canon user. It doesn’t look like it was iPhone orpoint and shot. My guess is Nikon

    iPhone
The quality is very good though.

  11. 11
    ) Gyula

I would say it was taken with an iPhone.

  12. 12
    ) Jahongir

well detailed and less saturated colors, CANON DSLR!!

  13. 13
    ) James

    I’d say, iPhone.

  14. 14
    ) Jahongir

    Definitely, iPhone :)

  15. 15
    ) Lilantha

This kind of a picture was taken by one of my friend by using iphone. Therefor I vote for iphone.

  16. 16
    ) Coby

I also think it was taken with an Iphone.
Nikon would be too easy somehow…

  17. 17
    ) Alen Ajan

    Salam,

I voted for iPhone because SLRs have higher dynamic range

  18. 18
    ) Charlie

    Gotta be an iphone!

  19. 19
    ) JohnS.

Lots of people are saying it was taken with an iphone so…
I’ll vote for a point and shoot just to be different. In truth this photograph could have been taken with any of the choices you offer.

  20. 20
    ) Tom Sweet

No matter what camera you used, it shows that the photographer is more important than the equipment. It’s a beautiful shot.

    I voted for the iPhone.

  21. 21
    ) Girish

I vote for “Point and Shoot”
I feel DSLR shots more rich in colors and contrast. I use point and shoot and very offen the shots are similar to the above image.

  22. 22
    ) Ahmad Ali

Iphone, all other options are too easy or too hard.

Reflection in the water is not crisp as it should be with high resolution DSLR.

The framing is awesome though. : )

  23. iPhone. due to the look of the resolution. But this could be the cause of post-processing. Hmm…lol.

  24. 24
    ) Giovanni

Iphone without doubts. Quality and size drive me on this choice.

  25. 25
    ) janel

Just a hunch…it looks like it was taken during the day rather than during the golden hours, and during those times you would have used the “big guns”.

  26. 26
    ) Jabari

Film or a DSLR would have captured more detail (leaves, rocky edges, etc), as well as some point-and-shoots. It could be because it’s a reduced sized jpg though. My vote is for the iPhone…

  27. 27
    ) carl kjeldsberg

I favor Iphone, but could be a point and shoot.

  28. I think it was taken with IPhone.

  29. 29
    ) Troy Roberts

Comparing it to your previous photo of the Maroon Bells (shot with your Nikon) there is way less detail in the reflected image and also in the image in general. This was shot with an iPhone 4 is my final answer.

  30. 30
    ) D

    IMO, it’s film

  31. 31
    ) Kristoffer Karlsson

    Point and Shot.

The pine trees lack a bit of detail and contrast. Could be Iphone as well but I vote for P&S.

  32. 32
    ) NikJ

I vote iPhone due to low rez.

  33. 33
    ) Jim

I think your D700 would have better DOF detail. I vote for the iPhone.

  34. I say film because hardly anyone else has! Haha! I’m going to be very impressed, and not overly surprised, if I find it’s an iPhone 4 though. It’s amazing the quality some of these tiny sensors and lenses are getting, especially at small apertures.

  35. 35
    ) munisa

Intuition has told me it is “I-phone”. Another reason I chose it is because I know nothing about photography besides enjoying it :)

Aw, there is a prize and its a book!!! I really hope I’ll win so I can learn ab. photography :)

  36. 36
    ) roman

I vote for the iPhone. because SLRs have higher dynamic range.

  37. I think it was a Canon P&S. But I would hope that you would also have taken some higher end gear on the trek to that location.

  38. 38
    ) Aaron

I think it is an iPhone. I have one and this image looks very familiar to me. :)

  39. 39
    ) Ray

You metioned that you were in Gleenwood Springs and my assumption is that on the way back you probably stopped by Aspen (same road…haha). You said you carry only two lens and a FX body. Since one the the lens is the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G which looks the one you took the pic with. So my guess is Nikon DSLR!

  40. 40
    ) Shahnoza

    Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi

  41. 41
    ) Rod

Not as wide as your previous photo so why would you take a second shot, especially when the sun is high (small shadows made by the trees), with a DSLR if you knew this one would be a less appealing photo? My rational is, this was done to prove that some cheaper camera can also take interesting pictures.

So I think it would be either point and shot or iphone, since you have mentioning iphone a couple of times lately I’m also going with iphone.

  42. 42
    ) Asrorbek Toshev

I also thought it’s either iPhone 3G or 3GS as agreeing to other readers. If you know where to shoot and how to shoot the camera is not that much important. Adham says you might purchased iPhone 4. I don’t know whether you upgraded to iPhone 4 or not, but I know you used Blackberry 8900 phone too:) http://mansurovs.com/cell-phone-photography

  43. 43
    ) Avaz

    Canon DSLR

Your comment was a bit too short. Please go back and try again.

  44. 44
    ) Kerry

I’m going to say a new iPhone4. Those things have incredibly good picture quality for a phone and it would certainly be unexpected.

  45. 45
    ) Eric

We all agree on iPhone ;-) Too much sharpening, not enough definition in my eyes.

  46. 46
    ) Peter Jensen

I said IPhone for the reason that it is great but not super.

  47. 47
    ) Morten

IPhone as I don’t see D700 taking this image.

  48. 48
    ) Ben Linowitz

I think it was taken with an iPhone.

  49. 49
    ) Henry L.

I would choose the Canon DSLR indefinitely , because of the quality of the photo is superbly similar to the Canon DSLR’s photo quality.

  50. 50
    ) Don

I think it was plain old film (and then scanned …)

  51. 51
    ) Kaspar

It has to be something different from what you normally use, otherwise I do not see the point to this poll. Therefore, I voted for iPhone.

  52. 52
    ) George Gutierrez

It was a Nikon… only Nikon can produces such a great image. :O)

  53. 53
    ) Mani

    Voted for IPhone :)
Sometimes simple tools can give beautiful results …

  54. 54
    ) Tao Jiang

I think it should be iPhone

  55. 55
    ) Kyle

This picture was taken with an iPhone. That much is doubtless.

  56. 56
    ) Elisa Wehner

I think it was taken with an iPhone~

  57. Totally an iPhone.

  58. 58
    ) Anna

I think this was iPhone because of the resolution.

  59. 59
    ) Peng

I voted for an iPhone. I think you would carry a Nikon DSLR and an iPhone on that particular day.
iPhone takes great pictures if there is enough light.

  60. 60
    ) Andrew Prasetyo Jo

profiled you as a photographer who usually proud of their gears and results, and now asked this question. Looking at all the options, only the iphone that will give people a “nah.. cant be right” which about 30% of the people will not vote rationally. However, people arent that dumb. They will choose the most unrealistic one, and vote for that(reverse psychology). After given some thoughts, i’d say that it was taken by an iphone coz you yourself was amazed by how good the result is coming from an understated camera phone.

  61. 61
    ) Tair

I think for a professional SLR camera colors are not deep enough, it’s definitely not a film shot, i’m shooting using Zenith from time to time and I know what kind of colors appear on the film, unfortunately i didn’t use iPhone camera, but i think it could easily be it, however my final answer is Point and Shoot camera!

  62. iphone. Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but it would be really awesome if it’s really an Iphone!

  63. 63
    ) George

film, The light was well controled and the shadows are deep and rich.

  64. 64
    ) Nuraan

    I think its film.

  65. 67
    ) Jaime Aniversario

I would think this was shot with a nikon dslr

  66. 68
    ) sarena

i think this was shot with an iPhone :)

Film. It doesn’t look so digital.

    ) KimP

iPhone.. cause they are hot hot hot. I don’t have one but I have seen a lot of young folks fb accounts and the photos are so good! :-)
