B&H Contest and Prizes for Workshop Participants

I am happy to announce that B&H Photo Video is giving away a $250 gift card prize in a B&H contest (see rules below). The winner will be announced after our last photography workshop (18th of June, 2011).

In addition, Lola and I are planning to give away a couple of great prizes to those who make it to the workshops. Please make sure to glance at our schedule update post periodically, as some of the details might change. I will be emailing those who signed up in advance and will let you know if there is a change of venue or time, etc.

So far we have had one small workshop called “Introduction to Photography Workshop” at the Roxborough State Park and although we did not have a chance to record the session, it went great and we went through the photography basics in approximately 4-5 hours. The next two workshops will be conducted this coming weekend, on June 11th and 12th (Landscape and Portrait/Wedding Photography) and the final workshop will take place on June 18th (Flash Photography).

Here are the B&H Contest Rules:

  1. Post a comment below with a list of items you would buy from B&H. Something like “I would love to buy a Nikon 50mm f/1.4G lens with a filter” or you can put a list of the gear you want to buy as a list.
  2. Make sure to use your real email address in the contact form – otherwise we won’t be able to get in touch with you.
  3. The contest is open to anyone – the gift card number will be emailed to the winner.
  4. You do NOT have to buy the items you list in your comment from B&H.

    I plan to give my D90 and 18-105 nikkor lens to my sister so I really need another Nikon for myself. I would love to have D7000 as my next baby. Also, Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 is totally the next one I buy. Can’t wait until this day come.. ^^

    I’d buy filters for my 50 mm 1.4G, 24-70 and 70-200 VR lenses and Speedlite SB900.

    I have a list a mile long…but I’ll keep it short here:)
    I would LOVE the Nikon 85mm 1.4, I also just recently purchased CS5, which drained my funds seriously, but when I get caught up again I will purchase the NIK software as well. Oh, and the Nikon 105mm micro as well.

    If I ever ran into some unexpected money I would definitely use it towards the Tokina 11-16 mm f2.8 as I have had my eyes on that for awhile now, as it will complete my focal lengths I am missing, plus it did just go up in price by 60$ in April :(

    I’ve just become a happy owner of Nikon D3100 with kit and 55-200mm zoom lenses. The next items in my wish list are: 60mm f/2.8 macro lens, mount flash, and a good tripod. Photography is a great journey, hope to be learning and experimenting more!

    Hi Nasim,

    Thanks for the “Introduction to photography” session. I learned many things from it. You know what I am slowly advancing from AUTO to APERTURE mode. I am slowly feeling comfortable with aperture mode. I did try few things and did see the improved results.

    I got my D90 and couple of lenses from B & H. So far I have been happy with their prices and service.

    If I get lucky I would like to buy SB-700 Speedlight shoe mount.
